"Dead-Stock" = Never worn or washed "Trashed" or "Distressed" = Possible holes or worn and faded. Cotton shrinks over time from things like Washing and Drying - also, clothing worn outside and in the sun can become faded. 1960's - 70's - 80's - Sizes ran smaller, and as a collective, "people" were much smaller. It changed some during the 1990's when fashion and trend went "Oversized". In short - PLEASE MEASURE!!!!
