Offered here is without question one of the Most-Amazing! Grateful Dead " Art " Shirts that I have ever seen or collected.The detail in this scene is immaculate. I acquired this shirt years ago, and believe it was probably made shortly after Jerry Garcia's untimely passing.
Photos hardly do this piece of T-Shirt Art the justice it deserves, because the closer you move towards it - the more it draws you in. I acquired this one Brand New, thinking I would wear it - but I never could do it.The art & design is too amazing in my opinion, to be worn or washed. Then I thought I would instead frame it, but never got around to it. So, instead I've decided to pass it on to another Dead Fan who recognizes its beauty - and will either frame this shirt, or will wear it very proudly. The fact is, this shirt should be seen & shared by many - not sitting protected in plastic, as it has been for years. Where to even start on this psychedelic masterpiece??
The detail on this shirt is mesmerizing - you can literally see something new every time you look at it. Jerry is peering out of his glasses, his pupils are a shining star and a silhouette of him and his guitar in a doorway radiating light beams.
A rainbow colored tear drops out of Jerry's right eye into a crowded stadium with the band on stage, his left lens show dancing bears canoeing down a stream in a beautiful outdoor scene with rolling hills, a crop circle and smoke arising from tepees! Jerry's beard flows like a waterfall with light bulbs and faces within it.Below is a fiery sun with a ying & yang Steal Your Face! A tropical leaf arises out of the sun with a miniature Jerry playing guitar on the top of it, sunflowers, mushrooms, a lynx, shining stars, flowers, butterflies and many others surrounding.
