1978 " / " L-200 " / " Made In USA engraved. There have been some similar counterfeit reproductions (fakes) of this Vintage-Original item circulated, and unfortunately... Many of them I've seen are very similar to this Vintage-Original.

However, there are very effective method to identify the difference between the " Vintage-Originals " - and the' Reproductions'... As the secret is in the " Butterfly " shaped Belt Loop, and the " L-200 " stamp itself. On the Vintage-Originals This One! The L-200 stamp is clean & even in its font all the way across the entire L-200 stamp... And, on the' Repros' - the L-200 font looks uneven, to different degrees, and actually appears' over-embedded' and uneven in the reproduction casting process.

And, the unique " Butterfly " Belt Loop speaks for itself - being " Butterfly " shaped, and not' Straight'. The' Weight' is slightly different as well, as the Vintage-Originals are actually a bit heavier. The " Visual " is the important early-detector, and especially when purchasing one of these item in today's cyberspace world.

This Belt Buckle has been lightly-moderately used/worn as a Belt Buckle, and has been " Collected-Only " for years recent decade(s).

There is light-medium surface/edge wear scratches, some light dings/indentations, discolorations & variances in the surface finish - along with some oxidation & natural aging signs present as well. For a lightly used (& mostly " Collected ") item - this one is in nice condition (very good), with the overall condition & integrity of this item being quite impressive - with little significant wear present on the extended Bertha face & Roses.
